Battlefield 4 Free PC Game

Battlefield 4 download introduces the all-new FrostBite 3, which will later be used on many EA franchises. The latter is also accompanied by technology Destruction 4.0, supposed to beautify a little more destructible environments populating the game, an asset repeatedly hailed on the previous grind and that should put us on top of this fourth episode. DICE also offers us in this category a new feature embodied by the Levolution process that allows the map to change over time or under the influence of players, the fighters can for example explode a dike to flood the combat zone on the map Flood Zone, or to derive a wreck so that it becomes embedded in the tropical map of Paracel Storm while the latter is gradually transformed from the tropical archipelago of the early game to the cluster of islets devastated by a typhoon, the scene of end-game clashes. As you can see, the emphasis is on climatic and topographic evolution, on a solo campaign theoretically better tied up than the previous one, and on the return of the Commandant mode, whose absence had made a bunch of teeth creak in Battlefield 3. The question is: Do these novelties justify the purchase of the title?

Let’s start with the things that annoy. The Battlefield 4 solo, pretty much put forward by EA in recent months, is pretty disappointing. We are still far from what we were entitled to expect from a tenor like DICE, who had yet been able to show his know-how on friendly campaigns like those of the Bad Company. The adventure puts us in the shoes of the dumb but reckless Recker within the Tombstone squad, a small group of American soldiers who find themselves in the midst of a Chinese political-military crisis. Obviously, your different missions (which will provide between 4 and 6 hours of life), will take you in different environments mostly Chinese or Russian that will later be the scene of multiplayer clashes. We also welcome the work done on the modeling of Shanghai, quite faithful and relatively impressive, even if it is more of a painting of the district of Pudong in the distance than a real guided tour in the streets of the city. city.

If the scenario of the campaign remains correct while being light enough and sometimes farfelu (see the end of the game), the solo still offers a taste of the heart of the title: the multiplayer. Climatic conditions, bluffing lights, destruction in shambles, improved maritime gameplay and wave management, everything is there … well almost, and this is what we can blame the campaign in addition to its many bugs and design flaws: it is rather bland, already seen, and exploits mainly only 10% of the potential of Battlefield 4. Why do not we propose sequences in aerial vehicles or quality sequences in vehicles on the ground or on the water ? We are condemned to wander most of the time in infantry, browsing a succession of arenas populated by enemies and scripts. While there are some impressive passages, but in its entirety, this solo is sad. As for the promotion of tactical choices and decisions made by the player, it is not the case, and it is with a little nervous grin that we discover these famous possibilities.

Side gameplay innovations for the solo, include the incorporation of lean & peek that allows you to jump from a blanket or to look to the side to neutralize your enemies by staying safe, but also the targeting of enemies, inherited from multiplayer, which here encourages your allies to focus on a particular wave of soldiers. However, this addition does not remove the bitter feeling of playing alone, assisted by an AI allied to the dubious aim, facing an army of rather stupid opponents. It is sometimes fun to see an ally covered at 10 centimeters of an enemy, without succeeding in killing him. Behavior just as disturbing: your opponents will have an unfortunate tendency to run to cover any place, even if it forces them to cross the arena, back to you while you are shooting them. It is possible that these behaviors are also patched shortly after the release, but they inevitably ruin the immersion, already started by the technical problems and other imperfections (invisible walls, textures sometimes very little worked, scripts and situations absurd).

Battlefield 4 offers the same philosophy as its predecessor, embodied by the Battlelog, the social hub, single player and multiplayer title. DICE also abandons for the occasion the cooperation missions proposed for BF3 and focuses on the campaign (with leaderboards for each plot of the solo), and the multiplayer with 7 game modes and 10 new maps, which will obviously be enriched subsequently via DLC. It is now possible to give “missions” to a group of 4 players, on a multi map in particular, to see, over 48 hours, who is the best sniper or the best helicopter pilot with 18 missions in total the number of kills made or the maximum score obtained. We thus find, with pleasure for some, this centralized vision of the online game allowing, on Internet browsers for the PC version or on consoles in a lighter version, to quickly select and join a server, with or without his friends, in order to start the battle.

In addition to the Conquest classics and its close-quarter infantry variant named Domination, we find the mode Rush inherited from BF3 which opposes defenders protecting two successive hot spots against an armada of attackers aiming to progress as much as possible by fomenting attacks on the two points mentioned above. Next come the Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch, opposing two teams or 4 squads of 5 (the squads having been enlarged from 4 to 5 players for this opus). We finally explore two new modes, called Annihilation, Obliteration in the Shakespeare Language, and Defusing. The first is based on the capture and transport of a common bomb on enemy targets, and you will feel great, especially if you get the bomb and must join the enemy military objective with your allies. As for the second, it functions as a part of Counter Strike: a group has a bomb and must put it in one of the two planned sites, the other group must stop them or defuse the bomb, knowing that a death places you directly in spectator mode until the end of the round. As usual the point gain and scoring are variable according to the modes played, a follower of the Team Deathmatch will climb so much faster the ladder than a player of Defusing or Conquest.

As for maps and their evolution, we find 10 new maps, much of which is borrowed from the solo. They are varied, more compact than the previous ones (understand that you will not necessarily have to run away from any civilization for long minutes before finding the world or a vehicle), and all benefit from the Levolution process, on a variable scale. There is something for everyone, including a rather dark map, labyrinthine and narrow called Operation Locker, scene of constant and ferocious confrontations that will probably appeal to fans of the map Metro BF3. There is also room for vehicles as usual, be they land, air or sea, and if they get a real gain in gameplay because of the management of waves and waves, the As for aircraft, they are now deprived of a take-off phase and fly directly from the deployment interface, which partly avoids the baseraping and theft of enemy planes.
