The main character is Shiki Granbell, a teenage boy with the ability to manipulate gravity, who travels the universe aboard the titular spaceship EDENS ZERO in search of a being called Mother.
In EDENS ZERO visit various planets that make up the Grand Shiki Cosmos universe, where Shiki Granbell and his companions experience various adventures. We can access the planets from aboard the spaceship, which serves as a base of operations.
Combat system
Konami’s production features an arcade-style combat system; during battles, we control one character, while the others are controlled by artificial intelligence, but we can switch between them. Each playable character has a unique set of abilities, which we can further develop over time.

Main Tasks
Most tasks involve fighting monsters, taking photos, and the like, though there are also character-specific tasks and event related tasks that add spice to the loop, reinforced by rankings that determine the types of tasks that can be undertaken.
One of the most distinctive features is recruiting friends, which, once completed, can add new items and the like to the EDENS ZERO ship, further reinforcing the addictive cycle of the game.
Ship mechanics
Returning to the ship, it can be considered another central gameplay path. Here, we unlock several beneficial amenities, including mini-games that provide their own currency for special items, as well as cooking mechanics.
Navigation and performance
In free roaming mode, Shiki can glide through the skies of Blue Garden without any restrictions, providing an intimidating amount of access right out of the gate. Vehicles are also present, though to be honest, I never bothered with them.
Taking advantage of this free-roaming design by exploring the world in search of treasures, events, and fast travel points is probably what enjoyed the most, as there is a staggering amount of content to complete and get lost in.

Anime game adaptations have been common practice for decades, and their quality will probably always vary. We constantly see bland arena fighters that fans strongly dislike, as well as exceptional productions that try to push the boundaries.
