As a member of a squad of so-called helldivers, we are the first line of defense against the threat of the intruders. The biggest change from the first part is the change in perspective.

In the first part, we watched the struggle from above, while in the sequel we watch from behind, which makes us closer to the action. At our disposal we have an extensive arsenal of weapons. Before each one, we select equipment according to our preferences.

Elite unit

Soldiers from the elite unit “HellDivers” carrying the song of democracy on their lips defeated all enemies who threatened Super Earth. This brought 100 years of peace in which everyone lived in prosperity, took out loans for weddings and enjoyed an apartment in a block of apartments that they will pay off for the next 50 years of their lives.

However, nothing that is beautiful lasts forever. Huge bugs, bred on various planets, have broken free from our kennels and are wreaking havoc. To make matters worse, at the same time a rebellion of cyborgs has broken out in other planetary systems, who also want our total annihilation.

Story layer

We fight everyone who shows, at least a minimal desire to take away our wonderful democracy. They’ve mixed the well-known teamwork opportunity from the first part, added a ton of propaganda and combined it into a neat whole.

That’s leaving aside the whole democracy setting, which makes you smile from ear to ear here. After a short tutorial in which we learn the ins and outs of navigating this world, we get the basic package of a hell of a diver.

Shared Play

Helldivers 2 Download PC stands for cooperation. We can perform missions solo, but the real fun begins only when we fight side by side with other players. This is where the beauty of this title comes out.

The game was released simultaneously on PC and PS5 and allows cross-platform play. The companions, being teamed up with us during missions, are quite an explosive mix.

Democracy

We already know that spreading democracy is no slouch. So what makes it easier for hell divers to spread it across the galaxy? It’s a whole arsenal of overpriced toys! By completing missions on individual planets, we are rewarded with medals, which we spend on upgrading our deadly arsenal.

During each mission we can collect so-called samples, which allow us to upgrade our cruiser in various maneuvers. These include airdrops of additional ammunition on the battlefield, automatic cannons, orbital laser attacks that demolish buildings or a half-ton nuclear bomb.

Summary

Helldivers 2 is definitely a little revelation and a black horse of this year. It’s a great production for playing together with friends, combining a fun and tactical approach with a high level of difficulty.

Helldivers 2 looks very decent and will delight us visually, but there is nothing to complain about here either. The control itself is quite clumsy and not particularly intuitive at first, but you can get used to it.
