Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a punishing climbing game. You play as Diogenes, a man stuck in a metal cauldron, armed only with a sledgehammer (a Yosemite hammer). With the mouse, you control the hammer to drag, push, and swing yourself up an enormous, surreal mountain filled with trash, furniture, and rocks.

The game is a homage to Jazzuo’s 2002 B-Game classic Sexy Hiking. It features no save points. You cannot die, but you can fall. And when you fall, you might fall to the very beginning. As you struggle, listen to the creator’s philosophical observations about the nature of frustration and the digital culture of trash.
